Today (Friday October 4th) my solo exhibit at Galerie F in Chicago opens. The reception is from 6 to 10, I'll be there as well so feel free to harass me and my work. The show will be up till the 20th so if you can't make it tonight, no worries. Everything that's being shown is my latest stencil work, ornate designs that focus on pop icons. The idea is twofold really, to bring a little bit of grandeur to subjects otherwise deemed kitschy or unimportant. And to challenge the idea of trust between fictional figures and the corporeal beings of our daily lives (parents, teachers, priests, politicians) Title of the show is WHO WILL SAVE US NOW?
For my east coast friends, I'll be exhibiting at New York Comic Con, booth 114 in the Block. I'll have original work and prints for sale.
For my west coast friends, next week the 11th I'll have a piece in the official AMC Walking Dead exhibit at Hero Complex gallery to kick of season 4. It's an awesome piece. I can't show it just yet though.
Also for my west coast friends, the week after the Walking dead show, I'll have two pieces in the Crazy for Cult show at Gallery 1988. So hopefully you can make it to at least one of those two shows.
Busy time!!! Got to get back to the studio!!!
